The Hunter x Hunter manga fans have to be the most patient fandom in the world. Yoshihiro Togashi originally began his popular shonen manga in 1998 but numerous delays and hiatuses (some of which have lasted years) currently has the tale of Gon Ging nowhere close to completion, even after 18 years have passed. Most recently Togashi restarted the Hunter x Hunter manga back in April after a two year hiatus. However, just two months later, Togashi announced an indefinite hiatus in June, citing back issues.
It's that development which has fans equally optimistic and furious at seeing Togashi partying while they're desperate for new material. The fandom appears split on viewing the citing as an indication that Togashi is well enough to resume work while others, who have long-since cast a skeptic eye on his repeated hiatuses, are viewing the image as proof that his injuries are not nearly as dire as they seem and that he just uses them to cover bouts of writer's block.
In the photo below, Togashi is the gentleman in the center, surrounded by a few other manga creators on either side.
