In addition to creating a separate Dragon Ball team, Shueisha will be giving the group their own separate space at the manga publisher's headquarters. Their work area has been dubbed, the "Dragon Ball Room". In response to the news, Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama joked, "t's really great that I don't have to do anything now."
According to ANN, Akio Iyoku, the editor-in-chief of Shueisha's V Jump magazine is heading up the special department. Fans are already speculating that Shueisha may be aiming to create an entire Dragon Ball universe with spin-offs and projects that don't focus on Goku or any of the other familiar Super Saiyans. Whether new material focuses on Goku or a new cast of characters, with Dragon Ball Super's manga and anime performing well, it certainly looks as if we'll be enjoying more stories from the Dragon Ball universe for years to come.
