BLACK CLOVER Manga Taking A Break To Prepare For Final Arc

The popular Black Clover manga is taking a three month break while series creator prepares for the final arc, promising an exciting finale to the series!

The Weekly Shonen Jump editorial team and Black Clover series creator Yuki Tabata have announced that the Black Clover manga will be taking a break for the next three months while Tabata prepares the final arc for the long-running adventure series. The editorial department and Tabata announced that it was a joint decision through statements posted to the Shonen Jump website.

Yuki Tabata's statement reads:

"My intention was to continue to draw [Black Clover] without taking a break, but after consulting with the editorial department, we have decided to take an extended break so that I can properly prepare the final manuscript for the last arc of the series.

I sincerely apologize to all the readers who have been reading the series every week, but I will be back with my full energy to make the finale of Black Clover exciting, so please wait for me until then!"

The three month hiatus will begin starting with next week's issue of Weekly Shonen Jump.

The bood news for Black Clover fans is that the anime series is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, who describes the series as:

In a world where magic is everything, Asta and Yuno are both found abandoned at a church on the same day. While Yuno is gifted with exceptional magical powers, Asta is the only one in this world without any. At the age of fifteen, both receive grimoires, magic books that amplify their holder’s magic. Asta’s is a rare Grimoire of Anti-Magic that negates and repels his opponent’s spells. Being opposite but good rivals, Yuno and Asta are ready for the hardest of challenges to achieve their common dream: to be the Wizard King. Giving up is never an option!

2023 will also see a new Black Clover anime film be released, though details are few and far between. There is also a Black Clover mobile game that is set to be released sometime this year (2022).
