When it comes to manga and anime franchises, My Hero Academia is tough to top as far as popularity and quality go. Fans of the incredibly successful IP and the characters involved are anything but short on content, yet a new one-shot is headed their way.
In the 33rd & 34th combined double-issue of Shonen Jump, it was announced that their August release would include a My Hero Academia story in one-shot form. In addition, Yoko Akiyama is tasked with penning the 17-page spin-off titled Boku no Hero Academia Tokubetsu Spinoff: Endeavor's Mission.
Shonen Jump readers will be treated to this standalone story next month when the August 2nd issue drops. Bakugo, Deku, and Todoroki will be facing off against Endeavor, according to the short tease. However, My Hero Academia isn't the only title set to receive the spotlight from the upcoming magazine.
The Promised Neverland, which initially made its debut in Shonen Jump Weekly, is now returning to the publisher for a one-shot as well. Creators Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Dimizu will deliver the 49-page science fiction thriller with the title DC3, and the feature will include a center color page.
