The popular adventure comedy manga Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer by Satoshi Mizukami is finally getting an anime adaptation and it's landing sooner than you think!

The Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer manga wrapped up nearly twelve years ago and today we've learned that the adventure comedy manga will be getting an anime adaptation! Not only that, the Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer anime is slated for a summer 2022 release!

The anime series will be directed by Nobuaki Nakanishi along with Yūichirō Momose and Satoshi Mizukami, the original author of the manga.

Mizukami, who also created Spirit Circle and Planet With shared the tweet below to celebrate the anime adaptation announcement!

Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer follows Yuuhi Amamiya, a young, college student who wakes up to find a lizard on his bed. The lizard explains that Yuuhi has been chosen as a Beast Knight, a magical warrior destined to help a Princess defeat a Mage seeking to destroy the world with a giant mallet floating in space called the Biscuit Hammer. Yuuhi initially has no interest and doesn't want to get involved. That is until he meets the Princess, Samidare Asahina, who shares that she intends to defeat the mage and save the world only so that she can be the one who destroys the world.

The Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer manga was written and illustrated by Satoshi Mzukami. It was serialized in Shōnen Gahōsha's seinen manga magazine Young King OURs and was first published in April 2005. The manga conlcluded in August 2010.
