The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse is set to return to Netflix this month. The streaming service announced that Season 1 Part 2 of the hit anime series will debut on the platform on June 27th.
Alongside the release date announcement was a brand-new trailer teasing the continuation of Percival's thrilling adventure. We also get the hear the theme song, "Your Key," performed by JO1.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse is based on the Japanese manga series of hte same name written and illustrated by by Nakaba Suzuki. It serves as a sequel to The Seven Deadly Sins, also written and illustrated by Suzuki.
The series is set years after the disbanding of the Seven Deadly Sins, Britannia's most infamous Holy Knights, and focuses on the young boy named Percival who discovers that he's destined to be a part of a group of knights prophesized to destroy the world.
The manga has been serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine since January 2021, and is licensed in North America by Kodansha USA. The description for Volume 1 of the manga reads:
Percival has always lived with his grandfather on God’s Finger, a remote haven that sits high above the clouds. And though he loves the simple life, he secretly longs for adventure. But Percival’s life is changed forever when an intruder—who shares a shocking connection with him—tears away everything he’s ever known. With nothing left to do but chase down the one who took everything from him, Percival sets out on his own. During his journey, the sheltered boy discovers that there are a lot of things he doesn’t know about normal life. Luckily, he meets friends along the way who can help him get by—but how will they react when they find out about Percival’s destiny... and how it’s connected to the end of the world?
The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse was adapted into an anime series by TMS Entertainment and animated by Telecom Animation Film. The series originally aired in Japan from October 2023 to March 2024. Netflix acquired the streaming rights in October 2023 and began streaming the series in January of this year. The first 11 episodes of Season 1 is currently available to stream on Netflix.
