The first complete trailer for the original romantic-comedy anime series Love Flops, which was announced in March, went right to the point today. It also added to the already jam-packed Fall 2022 anime season, which will start in October.
The first promotional video for Kadokawa's Renai Flops (Love Flops) original television anime project went live on Tuesday, revealing the staff, new cast member, and October premiere date! The opening theme song is unveiled and previewed in the video "Love? Reason why!!" by Konomi Suzuki.
Love Flops is a studio Passione original being directed by Nobuyoshi Nagayama, with writing credit going to Ryo Yasumoto, and character designs coming from Kazuyuki Ueda, who also acts as the main animation director.
Five girls from five different countries—Japan, the United States, Bulgaria, China, and Germany—transfer to Asahi's school in Love Flops, setting off a series of youthful mishaps and occurrences that result in a distinctive multicultural rom-com.
The main character of the anime is Asahi Kashiwagi, a student who one morning experiences a string of strange mishaps on his way to school. These mishaps all seem to be connected to a hazy television fortune he saw that morning, and they all come to an unfortunate conclusion with an encounter with a girl. By chance, every girl he meets is either a new instructor or student at his school. Yoshio, who calls himself "Asahi's friend," is suspicious of Asahi because of his past knowledge of the girls. According to his morning fate, he discovers a love letter in his shoe locker after school urging him to visit the cherry blossom tree behind the school. To find out what is in store for him, Asahi goes to the cherry blossom tree.
The voice actors in the anime include:
Ryota Ohsaka as Asahi Kashiwagi
Miku Itō as Aoi Izumizawa
