One Piece Film Red returns to the top 10 of the weekend box office charts at number three, slightly behind Suzume and THE FIRST SLAM DUNK. With just one week till it leaves all major Japanese cinemas, the anime film's box office statistics have been revised with its re-entry into the charts.
On the back of 14 million tickets sold as of January 22, One Piece Film Red had earned 19.35 billion yen (US$138.38 million). Due to giveaways, a special thank you video, and other factors, Film Red grossed 214 million yen over the last three-day weekend and only has to make 250 million yen in the next seven days to pass Howl's Moving Castle on the all-time and all-anime box office rankings in Japan.
The last weekend of Film Red will feature another giveaway and a big stage event, and it is almost certain to surpass the famous Hayao Miyazaki anime classic. Where will it end though? That depends on how well One Piece Film Red performs throughout the course of the week.
One Piece Film Red is a 2022 Japanese animated musical fantasy action-adventure movie that was created by Toei Animation under the direction of Goro Taniguchi. It is the fifteenth feature film of the One Piece film series, which is based on the manga series of the same name created by Eiichiro Oda.

About One Piece Film Red
The world-famous singer Uta will be performing on the island of Elegia, so the Straw Hat Pirates travel there. Luffy joins Uta on stage after she finishes her first song and reveals that the two of them are acquainted because Uta is "Red-Haired" Shanks' adopted daughter. They first met when Shanks was stationed in Luffy's hometown 12 years prior, but he claimed she had departed to pursue a singing career after he returned from a journey without her.
Then some pirate crews try to take Uta, but she effortlessly defeats them by calling forth anything she desires through singing. Uta advises Luffy to give up being a pirate because she will make this concert last forever and bring about a world where only happiness and peace exist. The plan is met with resistance from the Straw Hats, so Uta assaults and captures everyone but Luffy, who is saved by Trafalgar Law and Bartolomeo. While this is happening, the Marine Fleet Admiral Akainu issues an order for a fleet of battleships to travel to Elegia and capture her on behalf of the Five Elders, who govern the World Government.
