The Saiyuki Reload Gunlock anime is the sequel to the popular Saiyuki and Saiyuki Reload anime series, and it continues to expand on the classic Chinese folktale, Journey to the West, which provided the basis for Kazuya Minekura's Saiyuki manga. Tokyopop is currently releasing the Saiyuki Gunlock manga series (Volume #3 comes out in March) and Geneon and Tokyopop plan to cross-promote the anime and manga series.
