Kashidashiki's manga, Kyoshinki Senki, is getting an English translation courtesy of Titan Manga. The Sword of the Titans Vol. 1 is set to arrive on September 3 and now we have our first look at the upcoming fantasy adventure.
"For fans of epic fantasy and supernatural battles between gods and demons, this manga will take you on an epic quest, as the young boy Tsuchimaru acquires a powerful sword from a mysterious artisan and joins the gods to fight fiends himself!" Titan Manga teases.
"In a time when gods and humans live and fight together the young boy Tsuchimaru was helpless, a mere child in the face of those mighty struggles... until a mysterious wandering artisan came with a sword they had forged and gifted it to the child, enabling him to take up arms in the titanic conflict!" the synopsis reads.
The Sword of the Titans Vol. 1 will be available in September at bookstores, comic shops and digital. It's currently available for pre-order at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other major retailers for $12.99.
Below is our first look at some of the pages in the upcoming first volume, arriving later this year.
The Sword of the Titans (Kyoshinki Senki) may not be the most well-known manga, but the premise, while not terribly original, certainly sounds interesting. If anything, the artwork, drawn by Kashidashiki, looks fantastic.
Titan Manga is a relatively new Titan Comics imprint. Launched in 2022, it put an official label on the manga titles produced by the company and helped guide fans of manga who may not have previously been aware of these offerings.
Other Titan Manga releases include Tengen Hero Wars Vol. 1, The Great Yokai War: Guardians Vol. 1 & 2, Alpi the Soul Sender Vol. 1 & 2, Witch of Thiscle Castle Vol 1 & 2, and more.
One of the most well-known releases under Titan Manga was Afro Samurai, a manga released nearly 25 years ago that became a cult sensation as an anime, with Samuel L. Jackson as the voice of the title character. Some original releases produced from Titan Manga include Assassin's Creed and Sherlock.
It's been an exciting week in the world of anime thanks, in large part, to Anime Japan 2024. The industry event featured the trailer for My Hero Academia Season 7, and tons of exciting announcements from Netflix, including trailers for The Grimms Variations and Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance.
