5 short teasers for the live-action Ghost in the Shell film were released online by Paramount Pictures, one Ghost in the Shell fan took it upon himself to assemble the footage into a proper teaser trailer with the help of the original opening from the 1995 anime film. Check it out below. We've also included the original opening so that you can see what elements were used and just how much the teasers appear to be replicating the '95 anime film. Regardless of whether you think Scarlett is right for the role, you have to admit that director Rupert Sanders appears to have nailed the atmosphere and tone of the legendary cult-classic from Mamoru Oshii and Production I.G.

Ghost in the Shell is an upcoming, cyberpunk sci-fi film from Dreamworks and Paramount Pictures. Rupert Sanders directs from a script written by Jamie Moss and Jonathan Herman. Scarlett Johansson stars as Motoko Kusanagi. Pilou Asbæk plays her right-hand man, Batou. Beat Takeshi plays their boss, Lt. Col. Daisuke Aramaki. Michael Pitt will play the villain of the film, The Laughing Man.
Ghost in the Shell opens in US theaters on March 31, 2017.
