Funimation recently released a teaser trailer for the LBX Girls anime series that began streaming this month. While it's short, clocking in at just under 60 seconds, and it will surely get mech fans excited!
The teaser trailer introduces us to Riko, who is caught in a space-time tremor and transported to parellel world and alternate space-time where life forms known as 'Mimesis' are threatening the end of mankind. The only thing that can stand against these metal-based life forms are girls equipped with LBX armor and weapons! Riko is joined by four other youg women who have also been displaced. The only hope for humanity is for these heavy metal soldiers, who's only wish is to return home.
The armor worn by the Armor Girls is reminiscent of the Veritech mech and mecha armor from the 1980s Robotech anime. Most notably the Cyclone mecha armor from the MOSPEADA series.
