Friendship consists of a lot more than simply getting along with another person; it also means being a form of support to anything that a friend may need help with or desire to push themselves to even greater heights. That is one of the best themes about the upcoming film, Josee, The Tiger, and the Fish, which tells the story of a young man befriending a girl and taking her out as company as she has been unable to walk and never wanted to venture out past her home.
Noragami director Kotaro Tamura is behind the camera of this film, which is being animated by BONES. Initially, the film was meant to release over the summer; however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film has been pushed back to a late December release.
As the new release date inches closer and closer, a brand new extended look of the film has started to stream. The new video gives fans a special look at the first meeting of the main characters, Tsuneo and Josee, and includes the film's theme song "Ao no Waltz" (Blue Waltz) and insert song "Shinkai" by the musician Eve.
The new film will tug at the heartstrings and warm the core of any who watch it, and while the release is long overdue, it is welcomed. Make sure to check out the new special look, and don't forget to tell us your thoughts on the trailer in the comments below!
The film's story centers on the relationship between Tsuneo and Josee. Tsuneo is a university student, and Josee is a young girl who has rarely gone out of the house by herself due to her being unable to walk. The two meet when Tsuneo finds Josee's grandmother taking her out for a morning walk.
Josee, The Tiger, and the Fish will hit theaters in Japan on December 25th!
