Starting May 29, Dragon Ball Super will go from kicking off the Saturday night Toonami lineup to closing things out at 3:30 AM. As a result of its new spot, all the other shows will move up, resulting in the new season of My Hero Academia taking the lead off position.
It seems Dragon Ball Super was a great way to draw in casual fans but the series concluded quite some time ago, back in March 2018. The diehard Toonami faithful were beginning to complain about seeing reruns of Super and it appears their cries have finally been heard.
In a seperate post, Toonami also confirmed that they will be heading right into the fourth season of Black Clover on June 19 when the currently airing season 3 concludes. Some fans were concerned that Toonami might restart the third season instead of continuing on but those fears have now been put to rest.
Season 4 is actually the last season of the TV anime adaptation which originally concluded at 170 episodes in Japan back on March 30. An anime film is in the works, however it's unknown whether it will be an original story or continue on where the TV anime left off.
