The five-episode anime prequel from SquareEnix released its third episode yesterday via YouTube. The series will chronicle events prior to the release of Final Fantasy XV which ships worldwide on September 30. A-1 Pictures produced the anime, which follows the road trip adventures of Noctis, Gladiolus, Ignis, and Prompto.
Final Fantasxy XV also has a tie-in cgi film from Digic Pictures and Image Engine, Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, which chronicles events that run parallel to certain developments in the game. It will be shown in select Japanese theaters on July 09 and will also be included as part of the video game's Collector's Edition. A US release date has yet to be confirmed, though several Hollywood stars have been confirmed to provide voice-overs including Lena Hedley, Aaron Paul and Sean Bean.

The Amicitia family has long served as the shield protecting the kings of Lucis and their household. Gladiolus is its eldest son and it’s his duty to protect Noctis, the Crown Prince but the bond they share transcends that of a bodyguard and his liege. However, their friendship was originally off to a rocky start and it was thanks in part to Gladiolus’ sister that the two of them become close friends which you can see in Brotherhood Final Fantasy XV Episode 3.
Brotherhood Final Fantasy XV delves into the extraordinary friendships between Crown Prince Noctis and his three comrades, setting the stage for the adventure players will set out upon in the action RPG. Subsequent episodes will be released before the game's launch on September 30, 2016.
