Even more actors have agreed to appear in parts that have not yet been revealed, while others will repeat their roles from the films, according to Deadline, despite the fact that we already knew that Idris Elba would be reprising his role as Knuckles the Echidna from the second movie. Adam Pally will reprise his role as Wade Whipple from the movie franchise, as had been previously confirmed earlier this year, and Tika Sumpter will reprise her part as Maddie.

Edi Patterson, Julian Barratt, Scott Mescudi, Ellie Taylor, and Rory McCann, who were previously confirmed for recurring guest star roles, will now join the cast of the eagerly anticipated TV series, along with actors Cary Elwes, Stockard Channing, Christopher Lloyd, Paul Scheer, and Rob Huebel, who have now joined in unspecified roles. Between Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and the next Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie, which will be released on December 20, 2024, will come the Knuckles live-action series!

About Knuckles:

The main focus of the TV show is plot is on Knuckles guiding Wade Whipple on a quest for self-discovery while incorporating the films' trademark humour. Since the series is presently being produced on location in London, England, more information should be made public in the future.
