Maroon 5 Spoofs POKEMON GO In New Music Video

Pokemon Go mania may have died down a bit in the US as the season changes from Summer to Fall but that hasn't stopped Adam Levine and his fellow Maroon 5 band mates from spoofing the recent pop culture phenomenon.

Adam Levine stars in the Don't Wanna Know as a mutant Squirtle of sorts, spoofing the recent US obsession with Pokemon Go. Other celebrities appearing as knock-off Pokemon include Sara Silverman, Ed Helms and Vince Vaughn.

Pokemon Go launched this Summer and made an estimated $600 million in the first 2 months.  However, the game's sales have slowed quite a bit, to an estimated $2 million USD per day, which projects out to about $120 million across 2 months.  Still, that figure is enough to keep the game among the top 3 apps on the Apple App store and Google Play.

In the video, Marron 5 is drawing parallels to the US' obsession with catching Pokemon on a cell phone with celebrities who are mobbed by fans and paparazzi when they are out in public.
