SWORD ART ONLINE: PROGRESSIVE A New Trailer Has Started Streaming For The new Anime Film

The story of Sword Art Online has become one of the most popular and fastest-growing franchises in Japan. While there have been multiple spin-offs and other series with the same name, it is widely regarded that the original story by Reki Kawahara, was the most adored by the audience as a whole, and the anime added to that adoration.

Now, since there has been so much that has released between the first episode and now, it seems right to go back to the story that started it all but look at it under a larger microscope. Sword Art Online: Progressive, is a series that goes back to the first story but examines each floor that Kirito and Asuna must brave in the deadly virtual world. 

Not long after the release of the series, it was confirmed that an anime would also be coming out to tell the story again. Now, with a new visual and trailer released, the anime has been announced to be a film and will be titled Sword Art Online Progressive THE MOVIE: Aria of a Starless Night. SAO: Alicization character designer,  Kento Toya is coming back to the franchise, and new director, Ayako Kawano will be helming the feature.

The new footage shows a much more polished world compared to the original series and is sure to be another hit for the franchise that has produced some pretty impressive adaptions. We would love to hear your thoughts on the news and trailer in the comments below!
