The one-hour special will finally air in early September, capping off the summer with a Nakano splash, as the side-story anime adaptation of The Quintessential Quintuplets nears its conclusion in theaters.
The Quintessential Quintuplets' OVA will be broken into two episodes for its initial airing, which will show on TBS on September 2 and 9. After that, on September 10, they'll air on BS11 together.
A summertime episode of The Quintessential Quintuplets follows Fuutarou as he takes a break from tutoring the Nakano sisters to concentrate on his own entrance tests. When the girls are missing him, Fuutarou unexpectedly calls them. On July 14, 108 theaters in Japan opened the special, and over 360,000 tickets were sold during its brief run.
Yukihiro Miyamoto (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) is in charge of directing The Quintessential Quintuplets at the animation studio Shaft, and Keiichiro Ochi is back to pen the scenario.
The Quintessential Quintuplets TV anime's first two seasons, as well as the most recent conclusion feature, are all available to stream right now on Crunchyroll.
