It has been four years since the second season of KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World was released. Finally, after waiting the length of a presidential term, there has been an announcement about what is coming next.
As many fans know, Studio Deen is the team behind bringing the light-novel to anime adaptation KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! to life. The first two seasons were immensely popular with lovers of isekai and anime fans in general which made the long wait for a third season that much more insufferable.
While it hasn't been clarified whether it is a new season or a standalone anime film, Studio Deen took to Twitter to officially announce that a new project in the world of KonoSuba has been green-lit. Although the tweet was in Japanese, we were able to get all of the relevant information from Dualshock.
Regardless of what language you speak, the tweet also includes a visual tease for the new project. Kazuma, Aqua, Darkness, and Megumin are all looking their best in the new image, which you can peep for yourself below.
Here's a larger version of the teaser image for super fans who want the most detail from this fresh look at what's to come, though there isn't much in the way of spoilers for what's next for these characters. Still, to say that this update is exciting would be an understatement.
