ONE PIECE FILM RED Teaser And Poster Highlight Fan Favorites

The official One Piece Film Red social accounts and web site have released a second teaser trailer for the upcoming film. The latest film in the popular anime franchise is the first film to be overseen and written by Eiichiro Oda.

The new trailer, included below, follows the release of a new poster for the film that features Uta, the main character of the film. It also includes plot points and features several One Piece fan favorite characters. A new Twitter post from One Piece Film Red (@OP_FILMRED) shows off illustrations by Eiichiro Oda, including character sheets for Shanks, Gordon, and Uta.

Uta - the most beloved singer in the world. Her voice, which she sings with while concealing her true identity, has been described as “otherworldly.” She will appear in public for the first time at a live concert. As the venue fills with all kinds of Uta fans — excited pirates, the Navy watching closely, and the Straw Hats led by Luffy who simply came to enjoy her sonorous performance — the voice that the whole world has been waiting for is about to resound. The story begins with the shocking fact that she is "Shanks' daughter.”

The One Piece Japanese manga series, written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda, originally appeared in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1997. The manga spanwed a media franchise, including the anime series of the same name produced by Toei Animation. The anime was originally broadcast in Japan in 1999. It has seen 14 animated feature films, an OVA, and thirteen television specials.

One Piece follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a boy whose body gained the properties of rubber after unintentionally eating a Devil Fruit. With his crew of pirates, named the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy explores the Grand Line in search of the world's ultimate treasure known as "One Piece" in order to become the next King of the Pirates.
