DRAGON BALL SUPER Gets One Step Closer To US Premiere

Dragon Ball Super premiered in Japan in July 2015 but has yet to make its way (officially) to the States. Is that about to change? A recent Toei Animation announcement provides a big clue that a US premiere could be on the horizon.

Yesterday, Toei Animation announced that Dragon Ball Super would begin airing in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa before the end of Winter.  Super will then air on Toonami in France, Italy and Spain.

Conspiracy theorist are speculating that Toei is holding out for a more lucrative offer for the rights to air Super in North America.  Presently, Toonami USA is currently entering the last of the DBZ: Kai series as it prepares to start the Buu arc.  Once that's complete, Toonami could theoretically jump right into Super.

As seen by the limited theatrical runs  of Battle of Gods and Resurrection of F, Dragon Ball Z still has a ton of fans in North America.  Whenever a formal English dub announcement is made, we'll let you know.
