The heat is getting turned up this summer with the release of a fresh new episode of The Quintessential Quintuplets anime! The anime will be based on the original manga by Negi Haruba. The television special will be made available in cinemas across Japan beginning on July 14 for a restricted three-week screening prior to the special television broadcast that will take place during the summer!

The television special devoted to The Quintessential Quintuplets takes place over the summer break, when Fuutarou has stepped down from his role as the Nakano sisters' teacher so that he may concentrate on his own college entrance examinations. The franchise also announced that The Nakano Family's Quintuplets, who sang the previous opening and ending themes, will return for the special with "Gotoubun no Mirai" as the opening theme song and "Takaramono" as the ending theme song. Yukihiro Miyamoto, known for his work on the anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica, has been tapped to direct The Quintessential Quintuplets at the animation studio Shaft, while Keiichiro Ochi is set to reprise his role as the show's head writer.
