Metallic Rouge, a new sci-fi action series produced by studio BONES, is set to premiere tomorrow for the studio's 25th anniversary.
The official Metallic Rouge Twitter account for the highly-anticipated mecha anime has announced that seven new actors have been added to the voice cast. The new cast members, as well as the characters that they'll be lending their voices to, are as follows:
- Hiroshi Yanaka (The Apothecary Diaries) as Puppeteer
- Mariya Ise (Power of Hope ~ PreCure Full Bloom) as Opera
- Minami Tsuda (The Ancient Magus' Bride) as Ace Machias / Alice Machias
- Hiroki Yasumoto (Frieren: Beyond Journey's End) as Graufon Berg
- Haruka Shiraishi (Golden Kamuy) as Cyan Bluestar
- Yoko Hikasa (Jujutsu Kaisen) as Eva Cristella
- Yoshimitsu Shimoyama (Rankings of Kings) as Roy Yunghart
Ahead of the Metallic Rouge TV premiere in Japan, the anime's creditless opening and ending videos have been released via Fuji TV's official anime YouTube channel. They have also released a main trailer and new poster/key art for the series. You can find all of them below!
The opening theme song, "Rouge," is performed by Japanese singer-songwriter Yu-ka, while the ending theme song, "Scarlet," is performed by Korean singer Dazbee.
Motonobu Hori will direct Metallic Rouge at studio BONES, with Yutaka Izubuchi serving as conceptual author and handling the series composition. Toshihiro Kawamoto provides character designs, and Taisei Iwasaki composes the music.
Metallic Rouge will premiere on Crunchyroll in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS on Wednesday, January 10th at 10:25 a.m. PT, with dubs for the series following shortly after. Crunchyroll will be streaming the series as it airs in Japan for members worldwide, excluding Asia.

The show is directed by Motonobu Hori, with Yutaka Izubuchi as chief supervisor and in charge of series composition. Toshizo Nemoto wrote the screenplay, Toshihiro Kawamoto designed the characters, and Taisei Iwasaki composed the music.
The story follows an android girl named Rouge Redstar and her friend Naomi Orthmann on a mission to Mars. They are tasked with eliminating nine rebellious androids hostile to the government, known as the Immortal Nine, in a world where humans and artificial beings coexist.
The series is set to premiere January 10, 2024, and Crunchyroll has licensed the series outside of Asia. Medialink has licensed the series in Southeast Asia and is streaming it on the Ani-One Asia YouTube channel.
