GoRA and King Records' original anime project titled Ayaka: A Story of Bonds and Wounds released new promo videos for the series on their official website. The opening theme song was announced and is said to be performed by angela and will be titled "AYAKASHI" while the closing theme song will be performed by saji and titled "Flashback".
The website also released a character promotional video. The video features Yukito Yanagi and Jingi Sagawa. Check it out!
The story takes place on the island of Ayakashima, where Jingi, a student of his deceased father, and Yukito, a little kid with a remarkable ability to control water, return to the place where they were born. Two other men on the island are eerily anticipating Yukito's return.

Yanagi Yukito
The official website describes him as "A boy who grew up in a children's home on the mainland and returned to his hometown, Ayakashima, for the first time in ten years. He was born with the power to manipulate water, but he causes it to go out of control and put the children in the facility in danger. Since then, he has been distanced from others, and Yukito himself has given up on joining people's circles. Still, deep down in his heart, he craves for connection from others."
Sagawa Jingi
The official website describes him as "The third disciple of Masato Yanagi, who was called the "Great Hermit". As a pulse patcher, he is good at manipulating water, which is the same type of ability as Yukito. He is a troubled young man who enjoys drinking and gambling with all his might every day and does not try to work unless he is in need of money. Even so, he is unexpectedly liked by the people of the island because of his bottomless cheerfulness and friendliness."
Kurama Haruaki
The official website describes him as "Yanagi Masato's number one disciple, and currently serves as the head priest of Kasen Shrine on Sannoshima. He has an excellent ability to connect veins, and if requested, solves cases involving Mitama with his disciples Chataro and Yoko. He treats everyone kindly and calmly like a good old man, except for his fellow student, Ibuki. He quietly gives a glimpse of cold anger."
Ibuki Aka
The official website describes him as "The head of Ayaka Security, an organization that specializes in exterminating Aramitama under the guise of a security company. A second disciple who studied under Masato Yanagi, he fights against Aramitama using special bullets that contain techniques. His senior student Kurama was a close friend and rival, but now they are at adds with each other due to differences in how they should be connected.
The anime is set to be premiered this year. The cast includes:

- Takahiro Sakurai as Haruaki Kurama
- Yuichiro Umehara as Aka Ibuki
