As more footage is released from Paramount and director Rupert Sanders' live-action
Ghost in the Shell film,
anime fans are beginning to realize that the Scarlett Johansson-led film might be more faithful to the 1995 anime film than initially anticipated. The latest teaser release shows Motoko taking down a domestic terrorist that literally seems to be taken shot-for-shot from the '95 pic.
Back in September,
5 short teasers were aired during the season finale of USA's
Mr. Robot and the latest teaser promises a new trailer that will be released this Sunday on the 13th. We can probably expect more short teasers to be uploaded in the coming days as we draw closer to the release of the full trailer.
What are your thoughts on what you've seen thus far? Despite negative press regarding the
perceived white-washing of the cast, interest does appear to be rising.
