The manga-based anime movie, Kaguya-sama: Love is War -The First Kiss That Never Ends- (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: First Kiss wa Owaranai), will debut in North American theaters on February 14 for a two-day event, according to a Friday announcement from Crunchyroll and Aniplex of America. The movie will be shown with subtitles in both Japanese and English. Tickets are currently on sale!
Crunchyroll describes the story:
Shuchiin Academy's student council room, the place where Student Council Vice President Kaguya Shinomiya and President Miyuki Shirogane met. After a long battle in love, these two geniuses communicated their feelings and, at the Hoshin Festival, had their very first kiss. However, there was no clear confession of love. The relationship between these two, who assumed they would be a couple, remains ambiguous. Now, overly conscious of their feelings, they must face the biggest challenge yet: Christmas. It's Shirogane who wants it to be perfect versus Kaguya who pursues the imperfect situation. This is the very “normal” love story of two geniuses and the first kiss that never ends.
The movie premiered on December 17 in Japan, and once it has officially screened in theaters, it will be broadcast on Japanese television. The movie lasts 90 minutes.
After the third season of the anime has concluded, the arc begins.
The opening theme song to the movie, "Love is Show," is performed by Masayuki Suzuki with Reni Takagi. All of the opening themes for the franchise's earlier television shows have been sung by Masayuki Suzuki. The film's "Heart Notes" concluding theme song is performed by Airi Suzuki.
