Accel World film is quickly approaching is July 23, 2016 release date. A 24-episode anime adaptation of Reki Kawahara's light novel series first aired in 2012, followed by 2 OVA's that were bundled with 2013 Playstation 3 video game. Dengeki Bunko has released 19 volumes in the light novel series, with the anime covering volumes 1-4 (plus volume 10 - which is a flashback). That means there's plenty of new material left for a second anime adaptation but
Infinite Burst will be based on an original story from Kawahara.
In 2046, many aspects of life are carried out on a virtual network. No matter how advanced the time becomes, however, bullying never disappears. Haruyuki is one of the bullied students. However, one day he is contacted by Kuroyukihime, the most famous person in the school. "Wouldn't you like to 'accelerate' and go further ahead, boy?" Haruyuki is introduced to the "Accel World" and decides to fight as Kuroyukihime's knight. - The movie will have an original story written by the author, Reki Kawahara. - The movie is scheduled to premiere on July 23.
