The project already has a large fan base so it's first proper anime series (following two well-recieved anime shorts) will surely be one of the most watched shows in whatever anime season its released in.
Studio Trigger announced that a full-fledged anime series was in the works last week, in the final episode of its Spring 2016 TV anime, Space Patrol Luluco. Some fans are already complaining about the fact that Netflix is unlikely to stream the series as it airs and will most likely wait until its conclusion before uploading Little Witch Academia's entire season. This would make it difficult to avoid spoilers on social media and comment sections from viewers who pirate the series.
