Funimation has announced that the English dubbed episodes of the dark historic anime Requiem of the Rose King are now available through their official streaming app and service. They've also revealed the English cast and crew and released a new poster to celebrate.
The Requiem of the Rose King anime is based upon the Japanese manga of the same name. It was written and illustrated by Aya Kanno and is loosely based upon the Henry VI, Part 3 and Richard III plays by Shakespeare. It follows an intersexed Richard III, son of the Duke of York, during the tumultous "Wars of the Roses" that occurred between 1455 and 1487. Adored by his father, despised by his mother, and alienated from most others, Richard grapples with the spirits haunting him, alliances with his enemeis, and his own passion to sit upon the throne.
