The story takes place in an alternate world where people wage war against the mysterious "unknown"—the enemy of humanity. Several decades prior to the first attack by the "unknown", a group of children were evacuated and placed in cold sleep during the invasion. Upon awakening, they discover that their bodies developed some supernatural abilities. In order to protect Japan from the "unknown", who launch attacks from the Tokyo bay gate, the boys and girls wage battles in the defense of Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Chiba.
