If you have seen the 2013/2014 hit anime “Kill la Kill” then you know about the eccentric, wise, and loyal side character of Mako Mankanshoku. Because of this, Mako has been a fan favorite of series watchers from meeting the series protagonist Ryuko in her rough neighborhood streets to her becoming a temporary villain and realizing the error in her ways.

It seems like character designer, known as "Sushio", also has some love for Mako due to his recent drawing of her upbringing in Hoono City. From her as an infant sleeping with her mother & father, going to elementary school, exploring the world by herself, growing up with her younger brother & pet dog, isolated by her fellow peers, to finally calling over Ryuko to sit next to her in class.

This isn’t Sushio’s first time drawing the “Kill la Kill” characters after the show ended in 2014. For the 2017 New Year, he drew the characters welcoming in the new year and in 2016 a few stenches of them surviving a rainy day.
