The 8-episode first season of Netflix's live-action adaptation of One Piece is now streaming, and, for the most part, the show seems to have been embraced by fans of the wildly popular anime/manga.
Like a lot of modern shows that leave the door open for a follow-up season, One Piece does feature a post-credits scene (or sorts), and as long as you're okay with spoilers, you can find out what happens below.
In the season finale, Luffy D. Monkey and his gang of Straw Hat pirates manage to defeat the ferocious Fish-Man Arlong and his crew, and set sail on their quest to find the fabled treasure of the title, the One Piece. As our heroes are planning their next move, we cut away to the title card, and are treated to an additional scene just before the credits.
In the stinger, we're introduced to a mysterious individual looking down at Luffy’s wanted poster. He then proceeds to burn through the image of our rubbery protagonist's face with one of his cigars as smoke billows around him.
While we never see his face, fans will know that this is almost certainly Smoker, aka Captain Smoker/Smoker the White Hunter, a hugely formidable marine with a burning (no pun) hatred of pirates.
Luffy and his crew are pretty handy in a fight themselves, but this fella's ability to transform his body into pure smoke is sure to cause them some big problems.
As far as we know, Smoker hasn't been cast yet, but if One Piece is renewed for a second season, we're sure to find out shortly after (when the strikes are over, that is).
