Launching back in July for the Nintendo Switch and September for iOS and Android devices, Pokémon Unite is an online multiplayer battle arena game that's free-to-play!

Later this month, Pokémon Unite will be introducing a bunch of Christmas-themed content alongside the introduction of a brand new Pokémon in the form of Dragonite! This "Holiday Festival" event will run from December 15th until January 16th, 2022 and add a plethora of Christmas content to the game including cosmetics for a variety of Pokémon.

The in-game locations Remoat Island and Shivre City will not only play host to new wild Pokémon, including Tauros Beartic, Cubchoo, Stantler, Panour, and Delibird and Articuno respectively, but also themselves be subject to a festive makeover. That means snow, sparkling lights, decorated trees, and the like.

In less cheerful news, Pokémon Unite will be undergoing maintenance later today (via Gamefragger). From 1 PM to 11 PM (Pacific time), Pokémon Unite will be down on all devices: Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. So, don't fret, your game isn't broken, you'll be able to get back to it in no time.
