Bandai Namco announced that Gundam Break 4 will launch globally on August 29, 2024.

The first number entry in the fan-favorite mech series in more than six years, Gundam Breaker 4 lets players create and customize their own powerful Gunpla to take into action on thrilling missions.

One of the main draws of the game is the customization loop of "break, battle, and build." The idea behind this is players can use Gunpla to create their own mech and fight enemies comprised of more than 250 mobile suits. By breaking off the enemy's pieces during combat, players can collect this loot and use it to build new, more powerful hybrid creations.

Additional customization options include paint, weather, and decals — all of which can be shown off in the new Diorama Mode. In this mode, you can also select backgrounds and special effects to create epic scenes to share online.

In GUNDAM BREAKER 4, as an aspiring Gunpla hobbyist, players will be able to mesh together their own mecha creations by using parts from more than 250 iconic Mobile Suits from throughout the Gundam series, and then test their creations on a virtual battlefield with up to 3 players in co-op multiplayer. Fight through missions to hack, slash and shoot through hordes of enemy mechs, breaking off their parts to collect and upgrade builds.

While Gundam Breaker 4 still retains the popular frenetic hack-and-slash gameplay of its predecessors, it builds upon it with faster-paced combat and combinations. There's also a new feature that allows players to wield two different weapons at once, unlocking unique combos and mechanics.

With a release date now set in stone, Bandai Namco has shared new pre-order details, revealing Digital Deluxe and Digital Ultimate versions of the game.

The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game,e arly unlocks to parts from 15 “hero” mobile suits spanning iconic series including Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans, Turn A Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, and others.  There are also five story missions packs with new mobile suits and Digital Deluxe exclusive parts featuring the Gundam Breaker 4 hero mobile suit and the Gunbarrel Strike Gundam (GUNDAM BREAKER Ver.).

The Digital Ultimate Edition includes everything in the Digital Deluxe Edition plus a Diorama Pack with additional creative elements, as well as the Diorama Pack Bonus, which includes Gundam Breaker Easels and Posters.

If you don't need all these extra bells and whistles, there's always the regular Launch Edition of the game. Physical pre-orders of this version come with a reversible cover art and an exclusive poster.

Gundam Breaker 4 will launch globally on August 29 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC (via Steam, and Nintendo Switch).
