The synopsis to
Jasmine Gyuh's manga series,
Back Street Girls, really does not do it justice in terms of how outrageous the series itself can be. What began within the pages of
Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine, back in 2015 has spawned a successful anime series and also English publication. What began in 2015 and continued on after a 12 issuse hiatus, will finally be telling its final chapter of the story in September. Check out
Kodansha's syinopsis for the series below.
Synopsis: "Tough gangland retribution takes a disturbingly bright, shiny turn in this insanely guilty pleasure about 3 yakuzas who, as repayment for their failures, must undergo major surgery and become … a hot female idol trio! So what happens when they become the next big pop sensation!?"With 11 compiled volumes and more than 450,000 copies in print, the series will no doubt be leaving on a high not just after three years. Expect
Back Street Girls to release its final chapter on September 15th within the pages of the 42nd issue of
Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine. Sad to see the series end? Or maybe this was the first time hearing about it? Share your thoughts in the usual spot!
