Oremajo Doremi is a cute and fun anime about magical girls and the adventures that they go on together. Geared towards the young girl demographic, the bright colors and overall lighthearted atmosphere has appealed to its viewers for generations because it reminds its viewers that it's okay to have fun, and things don't always have to be so series. Now, celebrating its 25th anniversary, the franchise has seen multiple generations grow up, and some filmmakers feel it is time to say thank you for the fond memories in the best way they know how.
Looking For Magical Doremi is an upcoming film that is adjacent to the original franchise because it tells the story of three young women who grew up with the show and, as they enter adulthood, feel that they must visit the same locations found in the show to regain some nostalgia of simpler times. The film has been highly anticipated, and now that the release is only a few days away, the marketing has gone into high gear.
Fans recently saw a new promo that featured the male characters in the show, but now there are three more promos that focus on the main heroines of the film. Cut together with flashbacks and footage of them as adults, the promos give a quick glimpse at just how important this franchise is to the characters, and it makes the film that much more intriguing.
As of now, the movie has no western release date, but if possible, will you be catching the new film? We would love to hear your thoughts on the movie and promo in the comments below!
The story follows 27-year-old Tokyo office worker Mire Yoshizuki who just returned to Japan, 22-year-old fourth-year college student Sora Nagase who aspires to be a teacher, and 20-year-old boyish, part-time Hiroshima okonomiyaki shop worker and freelancer Reika Kawatani. What draws together these three women from completely different walks of life are Magic Spheres.
