There's another anime-inspired video game adaptation in the works at Netflix as the streamer revealed plans to tackle the Blood Dragon DLC expansion of 2013's Far Cry 3. The expansion was a hit with fans, and reimagined the game as an over-the-top, futuristic neon-clad 80's action movie.

Adi Shankar, who spearheaded development on the Castlevania anime is heading up development on the project and took to Twitter to share some details about the show, which will be titled Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix.

Paris-based Bobbypills is animating the project and it's clear that a lot of their work is anime-inspired. You can click this link to see some of their work but be forewarned, it's very, very NSFW.

The series follows Dolph Laserhawk, who is a cybernetic super soldier who escapes from the clutches of an evil corporation named Eden.  He's attempting to pull off "one final score" before sailing off into the sunset with his boyfriend, Alex.

In addition to Captain Laserhawk, Netflix also confirmed that a second Far Cry anime was in development that would be completely seperate from the Elseworlds-esque project.  No further details were announced.
