The sequel to the Orange TV anime (which premiered this past Summer) will be titled Orange -Mirai- or Orange: Future; and will be released in Japanese theaters on November 18. It will receive a limited, two-week run in theaters.
Below, the trailer teases "one more future" and "one more miracle" as events in the TV anime are retold but from Suwa's perspective. But don't expect a simple rehash of the TV anime as the film will progress beyond where things left off in episode 13.
The TV anime aired from Jul 4, 2016 to Sep 26, 2016 and was produced by Telecom Animation Film studio. Funimation currently holds the series' distribution license.
Ichigo Takano began the romance manga in 2012 and wrapped the story up in 2015 at 5 volumes and 27 chapters.
The TV anime's 13th and final episode recieved an extended, 60-minute runtime. A talk show special followed (wherein the sequel anime film was announced), featuring the six main voice actors - Kana Hanazawa as Naho Takamiya, Seiichirō Yamashita as Kakeru Naruse, Makoto Furukawa as Hiroto Suwa, Rika Kinugawa as Takako Chino, Natsumi Takamori as Azusa Murasaka and Kazuyuki Okitsu as Saku Hagita.
