If you were a bit bored with the current season of My Hero Academia, you're in luck as the next episodes will cover some of the manga's most exciting material. A new season 5 trailer for the remaing episodes has been released which reveals that with the conclusion of the Joint Training arc, the TV anime will be jumping to the Endeavor Agency arc of Kōhei Horikoshi/s ongoing Shonen Jump manga.
The new trailer also reveals that Man With A Mission will be providing a new OP titled Merry-Go-Round, while Soushi Sakiyama performs the new ED, titled Uso ja nai.
In the manga, the next arc after the Joint Trainng arc is the Meta Liberation Army arc, a 23 chapter arc that focuses almost exclusively on Shigaraki and the League of Villains and the rise of a rival group, the Meta Liberation Army. Following that arc is the 12 chapter Endeavor Agency arc. However, the new trailer above seems to indicate that the anime is bypassing the Meta Liberation Army arc and jumping straight to Endeavor's Agency.
In the manga, the Joint Training arc consisted of 24 chapters, which the TV anime covered in 13 episodes. There's 12 episodes left in season 5 which is not enough time to cover both the Meta Liberation Army arc and the Endeavor Agency arc (unless there's some heavy editing and cuts).
If the remaing episodes of seson 5 cover the Endeavor Agency arc first and then jump to the Meta Liberation Army arc, the season will likely end of a pretty big cliffhanger that manga readers will probably be able to guess. If that's the case, and you're an anime-only watcher, make sure you're on the lookout for Twitter spoilers as the action and drama are about to ramp up in a major way!
