Fans looking to catch up with My Hero Academia before the arrival of Season 7 next month will soon be able to stream the English dub of My Hero Academia: Memories.
Crunchyroll announced that the English dub of the first episode from the newly released series will arrive on the platform on Saturday, April 20th.
My Hero Academia: Memories is a four-part mini-series that recaps the "epic moments of the series thus far" and will lead into the new season. The first two episodes have already been released in Japanese, with the third episode premiering on April 20th and the fourth on April 27th.
The first episode, titled "Izuku Midoriya: Resolve," "takes us through the history of One For All and All For One, Shigaraki's schemes and the training camp face-off with Muscular." The official synopsis for it reads:
After the Quirkless Izuku Midoriya meets All Might, he becomes the successor to All Might's Quirk, One For All, which means he must eventually go up against All For One and Tomura Shigaraki.
Once Memories ends later this month, fans can look forward to the premiere of Season 7. The new season of the hit anime series will begin streaming on Crunchyroll on May 4th.
The seventh season of My Hero Academia is shaping up to be the most intense arc yet as the season's story will follow the "Star and Stripe," "U.A. Traitor," and the first parts of the "Final War" arc from the original manga series. In it, Star and Stripe, America's #1 Pro Hero, arrives to fight Tomura Shigaraki by All Might's request, while Deku's confrontation with Shigaraki escalates.
Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies.
Series director Kenji Nagasaki returns to serve as Chief Director on Season 7 with Naomi Nakayama in the director's position at studio BONES. Yusuke Kuroda will continue handling series composition and scripts. Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima will craft character designs, while Yuki Hayashi will compose the music.
Later this year, fans can look forward to the anime's fourth feature film, My Hero Academia: The Movie: You're Next. The upcoming film will debut in Japan on August 2, 2024. There's no release date for North America yet, but one should be announced.
