Pokémon Day is right around the corner, and that means, fans of the popular franchise are due for some exciting reveals. According to people at the Pokémon Company, the idea is to highlight a Mythical Pokémon on the day.
At the moment, we are not sure about the name of the Pokémon, or what it can do. But seeing as it's from the Mythical type, we are pretty certain fans should expect something badass. Now, for those who might be wondering, Pokémon Day will take place on February 17, 2020, which is two weeks away.
Interestingly enough, the new creature will appear in the movie, Pokémon the Movie: Coco, and at a later date, be available in Pokémon Sword and Shield via an update. This will not be the first time a Mythical Pokémon appears first in a film then later in the video games. In fact, one could view this as a tradition at Nintendo.
We should point out that Pokémon Day is all about celebrating the anniversary of the franchise, which is the date Pokémon Red and Green were released to the masses in Japan. From there, it went on to become one of the most loved video game franchises in the world.
