Lionsgate previously disclosed that they intended to release the first actual footage from director Dean Israelite's (Project Almanac) live-action Power Rangers film at this past weekend's New York Comic-Con fan convention at the Javitz Center. They didn't disappoint.
Many fans on social media stated that they saw similarities between Chronicles and The Breakfast Club, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Others expressed worry that the "five Angel Grove teenagers with attitude" wouldn't morph and suit up until the end of the film. However, what both camps tend to agree upon is that the footage released was better than whay they were expecting.
