Bandai Namco Entertainment has become one of the leading game developers when it comes to bringing the action of some of Japan's most iconic shonen to the hands of gamers around the world. Whether it be fighting games like My Hero One's Justice or online RPG's like Dragon Ball Xenoverse, there is always an opportunity to feel apart of the world that the game inhabits.
When it comes to the Naruto franchise, for the longest time, the only way to truly get a feel for the world of the ninja has been through the massively successful Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm franchise. The 3v3 arena combat that the game provided proved to open many doors for the future of the brand in the world of gaming. After the Ultimate Ninja Storm series concluded, a new type of game came out that was based on the characters titled Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Strikers.
Shinobi Strikers allows players to make their own ninja and fight with or against characters from the game, and even learn some of their iconic moves. Much like Xenoverse, players could work with their friends online and compete or explore as a team. Since its release, there have been two season passes that add gear and accessories and even DLC characters from the series to play as! The upcoming third season pass has already confirmed Kakashi with dual Sharingan and Neji Hyuga; however, a new reveal in the pages of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump confirms that the fan-favorite character, Shisui Uchiha, will also be joining the roster!
Not much is known about when the character will release or if footage of the gameplay will come out, but it is safe to assume that it will be revealed a bit closer to the release of the season pass. We would love to hear your thoughts on the new additional hte game as a whole in the comments below!
