A new season 4 cast member has joined the Golden Kamuy anime as the journey continues. The most recent adaptation of Satoru Noda's manga features Michael Ostrog, an Abashiri criminal, played by Satoshi Mikami (Olcott in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury). Shizutaka Sugahara (Grimms Notes the Animation) is replacing Hitoshi Nanba at Geno Studio as the chief director of Golden Kamuy at studio Brain's Base, based on the manga by Satoru Noda. While Takumi Yamakawa, who directed the animation for five episodes of To Your Eternity, takes over as character designer, Noboru Takagi continues to write the series composition.
