Seven Seas has announced that it's headed back to the 2008 economic crash with Tofuro Futsukaichi and KEI's It's a Little Hard to be a Villainess of an Otome Game in Modern Society as they have acquired the North American rights to bring the light novel series to print and digital platforms.

It's a Little Hard to be a Villainess of an Otome Game in Modern Society follows Keikain Runa, a career woman who is reincarnated as the villainess of an otome game in the 1990s. With the knowledge of the upcoming recession, she's determined to win at any cost and revitalize her father's company and secure freedom for herself and new family.

Seven Seas will be publishing the series for the first time in North America. It's a Little Hard to be a Villainess of an Otome Game in Modern Society will be available in print, on digital platforms, and in single large-trim editions. The first volume will be available in April of next year (2022) and will retail for $14.99 USA / $18.99 CAN as part of Seven Seas' Airship imprint.
