This past Friday, the Crunchyroll Anime Awards rolled out some of its best shows and creators to contend for the top spot. The event came to be thanks to 15 million votes from fans in 8 languages and across over 200 countries and territories. The celebration was hosted by Tim Lyu and Crunchyroll’s beloved princess, Crunchyroll-Hime, and together they and the fans unveiled some massive reveals for the platform.
Aside from the winners, five brand new anime were confirmed to be coming to the streaming service. These shows include “Tokyo Revengers,” MAPPA’s “ZOMBIE LAND SAGA REVENGE,” “I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years,” “ JORAN THE PRINCESS OF SNOW AND BLOOD,” and “ODDTAXI.” The new anime hasn't announced a release date, but there are new key art and trailers that can be seen below.
The votes came from many countries, but the top three participants to the event were the United States, Brazil and Mexico. The event's winners were welcome surprises. However, none were more surprising than the new series "JUJUTSU KAISEN," taking the top spot as anime of the year.

"ODDTAXI"
"So, where to?" This town should look familiar, but suddenly, it's not. The taxi driver Odokawa lives a very mundane life. He has no family, doesn't really hang out with others, and he's an oddball who is narrow-minded and doesn't talk much. The only people he can call his friends are his doctor, Gouriki and his classmate from high school, Kakibana. All of his patrons seem to be slightly odd themselves. The college student who wants the world to notice him online, Kabasawa. A nurse with secrets named Shirakawa. A comedy duo that just can't catch a break named the Homosapiens. A local hoodlum named Dobu. An idol group that's just starting out named Mystery Kiss... All these mundane conversations somehow eventually lead to a girl who's gone missing.
"Tokyo Revengers"
This action-packed series follows young Takemichi Hanagaki after a tragic event sends him back in time and provides him with an opportunity to change the fate of his loved ones and to build a new future.
"ZOMBIE LAND SAGA REVENGE"
This second season of the cutting-edge zombie idol anime follows the undead idol group Franchouchou as they embark on their latest adventures towards legendary fame.
“I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years”
This comedic series follows a powerful witch who would rather not work too hard, but somehow finds herself in a various of curious adventures.
“JORAN THE PRINCESS OF SNOW AND BLOOD”
This anime, set in 1931, follows Sawa Yukimura, a member of the secret organization Nue, who has dedicated her life to avenging the death of her family.
