It's a dream come true for most people to have a pet dinosaur, especially one that won't make a mess or rampage across town. Gal and Dino is one of those manga series that brings that idea to life in the funniest way possible. The manga was released in 2018 by creative couple Moriko Mori and Cota Tomimura and followed a young girl who discovers a dinosaur and takes it home. Luckily for her, it loves human food, TV, and various other day-to-day activities.

As of now, the series has released 4 compiled volumes and continues to polish chapters in Kodansha's Young Magazine. Due to the manga's immense popularity, an anime was later greenlit and released this past April. The show is unique because it is half an anime and half live-action, where special guest stars can appear.

Production of the seires hasn't been easy, however, as the COVID-19 pandemic created hiatuses for multiple shows, including Gal and Dino. As reruns have started to air, an announcement finally came from the show's official site stating that episode 8 will mark the return of new episodes later this month!

Episode 8 will also feature the influencer Mirai Yokoda in the live-action segment of episode 8. Make sure to tell us your thoughts on the update in the comments below!

The manga's story begins when a gyaru, or "gal," named Kaede picks up a dinosaur and begins living with it in her room. The dinosaur eats human food, watches TV, and even enjoys being fashionable.

Gal and Dino will return on November 21st in Japan!
