Shadows can often play tricks on people who are either in a dark area or not paying very much attention, but what happens when those shadows are actually real? That is the spooky idea behind the manga series Shadows House, which has just been greenlit for a new anime.
Released in 2018, in the pages of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump, the series plays on the ideas of bonds that are formed between real people and the shadows that live in another world parallel to theirs. The ideas raised in the series allow for a very layered story but also some creative ways to spook the viewer.
With the show's release inching closer and closer, the anime's official website went live and revealed a brand new teaser visual of the series. The visual features the main character and her shadow self and evokes a very gothic and uneasy tone, much like the story.
There is a lot of mystery that is left to uncover that will surely surprise viewers upon release. Would you add this show to your viewing list? We would love to see your thoughts in the comments below!
The story follows Emilyko, a living doll, and Kate Shadow, the Shadow whom Emilyko serves.
Shadows House is coming soon!
