The animation studio BONES has released some of the most beautifully animated shows to have been released in the past few years. Some of these shows include My Hero Academia and Eureka Seven, however, there is a new original project that the studio is bringing to life titled Sk8 The Infinity.
Centered around extreme sports, more specifically underground skateboard racing, the series follows a young skateboarder who finds himself wrangled in an underground skateboarding ring. From there, viewers will be introduced to a cast of characters with varying skills and visually stunning races.
As the release of the series comes closer, tons of new promos have been released that have showcased a lot of new footage. Recently, a brand new TV spot has released that finally gives viewers a sneak peek of the show's opening theme, "Paradise" by Rude-α, the same musical group that has also worked on the ending theme for Dr. Stone!
With its January release coming up, fans can expect more news and updates on the show as they come. Make sure to check out the new video below and don't forget to tell us your thoughts in the usual spot!
The anime centers on Reki, a second-year high school student who loves skateboarding, and gets caught up in "S," an underground and dangerous skateboard race at an abandoned mine with no rules. Langa, who has returned to Japan from Canada and has never skateboarded before, also gets wrapped up in S along with Reki. Dirty racers, AI racers, and other unique individuals compete in the "youth skateboard race battle."
Sk8 The Infinity will premiere in Japan on January 9th!
